Forum Title: Staining wood in an indoor pool area
So I have an unusual situation for me. I have a client that has a pool inside their house. The ceiling and surrounding walls are wood and have been stained with a clearcoat with maybe a hint of tint. The bottom 4 feet of the walls have peeling from the previous stain and so does the ceiling. Im assuming I'll need to resand all the bare spots and then stain to match. The room has a dehumidifier in it, but it is not too effective in my opinion. The room is very humid. What is the absolute best clear coat to put on this? Also, should I use an exterior stain due to the humidity?

personally I would use an oil finish provide better moisture protection and no chance of peeling dalys ship'n'shore for example
